Live In Housekeeper Cook for family in Haslemere, Surrey GU27

This London based family are looking for an experienced and reliable housekeeper for their large country home in Haslemere. You will be required to work 40 hours a week (to include Fridays & Saturdays) and also happy to work in their London home at least once a month.

Taking care of all the housekeeping and ensuring the house is ready for the families arrival, food shopping, preparing food and also cooking when they are there – simple family meals such as roasts.

You need to be very good at managing your own time and have previous experience of working autonomously.

You must be child and dog friendly too!

The house is busy when occupied so you must be happy and enjoy this kind of atmosphere. The ideal candidate will enjoy a country lifestyle and be able to create a nice and welcoming atmosphere in the house – laying and clearing log fires, collecting eggs from the chickens, picking apples from the trees in the garden and so on but also confident in adapting to city life if you are asked to cover the London housekeeper.

It is a large house with 7 bedrooms and a separate studio building (your accommodation) and the family will mostly be in residence on the weekends (around  1-2weekends per month) and occasionally during the school holidays, so they need someone who is reliable and can keep an eye on the house when the family are not there as well as be a key holder.

Start date: ASAP, ideally by 6^th April as the family will be there for Easter holidays

Salary: £32,000 - £34,000 DOE

Hours: 40 hours a week including a Fri & Sat

Accommodation: Studio apartment in the grounds of the main house – double bed, kitchenette and bathroom.

You will be a confident driver with your own car.

This position can be live out for the right person if you are close to Haslemere.
