Live In Couple Job – Cornwall + Travel

We are looking for an experienced Domestic Couple to join a lovely, grown up, sporty family. The role will mainly be based in the family’s summer residence in Padstow Cornwall and through winter at the family’s other residences in France and Switzerland. The family employ other staff members at other UK properties, which occasional holiday cover will be needed.

The family are an informal family who lead busy lives and require staff around them who are willing and flexible. You must be happy to work as part of a wider team, including family office, to support the family.

You will be responsible for looking after all aspects of the Cornwall residence and ensure the property is ready for the family’s arrival.

Duties to include but not limited to:

• Family cooking and occasional dinner party
• Housekeeping, laundry and ironing
• Security
• Animal care
• Maintenance and care of the vehicles and other machinery
• Dealing with contractors
• Driving the powerboat
• Help with the children for example the occasional lift
• Travelling between homes as required to cover holidays and help if needed

The ideal candidates must have a positive and helpful attitude. The must be happy to work autonomously as the family will not always be in residence.

Laundry skills and an understanding of good housekeeping and what it takes to keep a large, modern house in great working order is essential. One of the candidates must be a confident cook and happy to prep and cook healthy meals for family and friends on a daily basis. Both candidates must be able to drive.

Interest in skiing, snowboarding, water sports or powerboats is a plus.

Requirements

Working week ~ 5 days per week - Flexibility is required, to include weekends and evening as needed.

Accommodation ~ provided with bills included.

Driving Both to drive is a must (cars will be provided for use)

Cooking One of the couple must be a confident cook.

Salary – Dependent on experience - Travel expenses included along with ski passes during winter
