House Manager for UHNW clients in London

Charming clients of ours are looking for an experienced House Manager to take full responsibility of running their large London home in Holland Park, with possible occasional travel to Europe and other UK destinations. As the House Manager you will be managing the housekeeping team, maintain the premises to the highest standards at all
times and seamlessly oversee the day to day functioning of the property & team. To cover all aspects of housekeeping and hospitality in accordance with the Principals schedules.

You must have a background and understanding of hospitality, service and front of house and be happy to take on and lead this side of things, along with management of the household and staff, admin and other duties which will include but not be limited to:

The family would welcome someone from a super yacht background at chief stewardess / purser level looking to make a land based move.

•    Managing the House team to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained throughout the entire premises.
•    Constant communication with the Housekeeping and Maintenance team to ensure everyone is up to date.
•    Guiding the household staff on protocol and correct etiquette and good practice as required.
•    Point of contact for the Principals in relation to house related matters and the team.
•    The ideal candidate will be solutions drive, confident, respectful and hardworking with a real muck in attitude and attention to detail. 
•    Management of front of house service and guest relations.
•    Ensuring the house is ready and welcoming to the Principals (with the appropriate set up) when in residence.
•    Managing all aspects of guest services.
•    Communicating with the maintenance manager, chef and housekeepers to ensure everyone is motivated and prioritising the correct tasks.
•    Assist and execute dinner parties and events in collaboration with the family office team and PAs.
•    Managing rotas and schedules for the household team with the principals schedules.
•    Authorising the payment of household expenses and invoices.
•    Responsible for creating &/or updating household manuals, checklists, routine lists, inventory lists, preference records and any other documentation regarding daily operation, on the shared drive.
•    Day to day purchasing of housekeeping and service supplies and coordinating deliveries.

Starting: ASAP
Hours: Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work required when guest or events take place
Salary: £70,000 - £75,000 DOE
