Chief of Staff (Private Secretary to a Dignitary) Central London & Hybrid by arrangement once established in the role. £100k + bens package + bonus

This is a busy and very involving role of trust and discretion, a perfect fit for someone who understands protocol and expectations.  Reporting directly to the principal, to deal with legal, finance and supply negotiation matters and act as a gatekeeper in respect of the principal's emails

Successful candidates are people who can make the principal’s time more efficient and effective. People who are highly discrete and trustworthy, who principal can completely rely on in his day to day life and work. Proactivity, attention to detail and excellent organizational skills are particularly key attributes, as well as tact and diplomacy.

High degree of professionalism, total discretion, diplomacy, highly competent, excellent time manager, resilient and a team player pre-requisites

Reporting directly to principal and based full time in London office with occasional trave

One or both need to have very strong administrative and IT skills, and advanced in Excel

Advanced people management – team of 7 report directly to the CoS

  • Day-to-day: manage diary, meetings, follow up with contacts, arrange travel, follow up on items from meetings, organize documentation, ordering supplies Acting as sole point of contact for the principal Undertake discrete small-scale projects as requested General office duties as needed Protecting and managing principal’s time Managing multiple residences with an international household team Prepared to travel to residences when to deal with accounts and any ad hoc projects, in liaison with House Managers Negotiation and management of insurance policies Dealing with IT accounts and devices Extensive global travel arrangements: updating logistics, creating itineraries, whilst being prepared for any last-minute amendments Energetic and have a “can do” attitude to handle multiple assignments at the same time Excellent communicator in written and verbal form Being able to work autonomously with top line direction You should be able to have a “sixth sense” of what is important Excellent planning skills, being able to prioritise to achieve the right results and outcomes within tight deadlines Confident, personable and sense of humour Managing & reporting on the personal expenditure of the principal Liaising with House Managers The sourcing, management, monitoring and payment of third party service providers. Acting for the principal as regards his interests in QIPCO. Proxy in legal matters Assisting with submission of tax returns on behalf of the principal Any other services reasonably requested by the principal from time to time. Living in London is necessary for quick response and occasional out of hours.
