Rota House Manager/Butler/Houseman (Paris, 16th Arrondissement)
Position: Rota House Manager/Butler/Houseman
Location: Paris, 16th arrondissement
Schedule: Rota 7 days on / 7 days off (working 26 weeks of the year)
Compensation: €60,000 - €70,000 per annum DOE and living arrangement
Accommodation: Live-in (apartment provided) or live-out
Languages: Fluency in French required; Intermediate / Fluent English too.



UHNW family of 7 is seeking a professional and hands on House Manager/Butler/Houseman to join their team in Paris and work on a rota schedule. The successful candidate will work closely with other household staff, including nannies, housekeepers, a chef, and a personal assistant, to ensure the seamless operation of a well-run household.
This role is practical and hands-on, requiring a blend of high-level service skills and practical maintenance abilities. The candidate must be proactive, detail-oriented, and adaptable to the dynamic needs of the family.



Key Responsibilities
Household Management/Butler

  • Serve at the table for formal dinners and casual meals when required.
  • Prepare breakfast for the children and assist with hosting guests.
  • Update and maintain household manuals, ensuring all systems, codes, and schedules are current.
  • Liaise with and oversee vendors, suppliers, and service providers.
  • Coordinate online orders, including managing deliveries from online platforms.

Maintenance & Security

  • Perform light maintenance tasks (e.g., plumbing checks, basic AC troubleshooting).
  • Proactively and reactively maintain the property, including regular inspections.
  • Supervise gardening efforts and liaise with trusted suppliers.
  • Manage maintenance schedules and contracts in collaboration with the Household Manager.
  • Ensure the safety and security of the household at all times.

Practical Duties

  • Walk and care for the family's dog.
  • Assist with cleaning and upkeep of facilities such as the sauna.
  • Care for fine arts, antiques, silverware, and vehicles.


Essential Skills & Requirements

  • Experience: Proven track record in a similar role within an UHNW household.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, whatsapp, and basic troubleshooting (Wi-Fi, TVs, appliances).
  • Service Excellence: Strong etiquette and ability to deliver discreet, unobtrusive service.
  • Organisation: Detail-oriented with experience in creating and maintaining checklists.
  • Children & Pets: Comfortable around children and working in a family environment, with a genuine love for animals.
